One Artifact stands alone in importance that made its last stand in Revised, until it was reprinted in Commander, and that Artifact is the Sol Ring

Its pretty fun to play as a result, with high replayability too

Its obviously not the kind of card you play for the long game (although splice onto arcane does give it some surprising value potential), and the legendary only targeting rules push you even further towards narrow, focused deck building

These cards are the bread and butter of Modern storm deck builds, and they are practically a necessity if you try to do a storm build in Commander as well

The format has a dedicated committee that looks at data and manages the ban list to ensure format balance, and I have only good things to say about the handling and health of the format
