They were armed with 30 36 Pounder guns in the lower deck, 32 24 Pounder guns in the middle deck, 32 12 Pounder guns in the upperdeck, and 18 8 Pounder guns in the quarterdeck and the forecastle. The Principe de Asturias was another of the Spanish three deck 112 gun ship of the line, based on the Santa Ana design by Romero Landa.
