This 1982 watercolour is an exercise in raptor authority the hawk owns the branch, the autumn leaves behind it are secondary, the viewer is assessed and found uninteresting. Glen captured the species' characteristic intensity: these are birds that are always watching. Glen spent years observing raptors both from field
