Wooden Daruma Figurine – Zuiganji Temple capcom -grayish white with the patternA traditional Japanese wooden doll depicting the famous monk Daruma (Dharma), half legendary founder of Zen Buddhism. Daruma is considered a symbol of good luck and perseverance. This one is rather comical, with exaggerated proportions and facial expression. On the front there are kanji for "Zuiganji temple", a famous 17th century zen temple in Matsushima. This figurine will be a great interior decoration, a good fortune token, or even a paperweight.
