Mayhem - Deathcrush CD Charged fieldsDeathcrush is the Debut EP by the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. It was originally released on August 16, 1987. Although it influenced black metal, its lyrics and sound were heavily influenced by early death metal bands. The Deathcrush EP was immediately groundbreaking and set new standards of brutality. The songwriting itself is still largely derived from its influences, particularly Venom and early Bathory.
