Payne Model 98 Bamboo Rod 7' 2/2 #4 8 Weight Tapered western-style grip with plasticFor sale here is a Payne Model 98 in excellent plus condition. The rod weighs 2 3 4 oz. 7' 2 2 for a 4 weight line. All sections are full length and straight. The rod's varnish had melted down so the prior owner stripped the original varnish and brushed on one new coat. Very nicely done. The silks, oxidized hardware and guides are 100% original, as is the grip. Chestnut brown wraps with gold tipping. Browntone cane. Cigar grip in excellent condition.
