It is decorated with a star motif with cobalt blue and manganese glazes on a grey ground. The loop handle has a curled tail and part of pewter mount. Westerwald pottery is a salt glazed, grey stoneware made in the Hhr Grenzhausen and Ransbach Baumbach area of Westerwaldkreis in Rheinland Pfalz, Germany. The decoration
