Griswold made Erie skillets are the earliest versions of the brand, made in the late 1890s. This is the VERY FIRST series made by Griswold in the 1890s. Early makers made their skillets by hand, and the very first Erie skillets were known by their "scoop" style handle and no catalog number on the skillet reverse. These
