Mordred is so heavily influenced by Morgause, Merlin, Morgan, and others that we hardly get a sense of who he is, himself. Not a hero, of course, but it's hard to say he's truly evil, either. He represents a certain sense of inevitability and change. Mordred is a watercolor blend of Morgause red, Morgana purple, and Arthur gold.
