Margret was 16 when she created her sampler one year before she was married. The sampler's home is in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It is fairly quick and easy to complete. The original was stitched on cotton gauze with silk threads and measured 7. 75 inches wide by 10 inches high. Stitching on 40 count fabric is closest to the original
