She fit so many beautiful motifs onto her sampler, with the bird taking center stage above Eve & Adam. Welsh samplers were always in tune with nature, which also shows with the plethora of flower baskets. She was born around 1860 and probably glad to be alive as yellow fever was going on around 1860 1865 in Wales. In my research I found families that had sometimes more than five children die during that period.
