1918 Vega Fairbanks Tubaphone in very good condition with a gentle amount of wear for an instrument over one hundred years old

The only major repairs on this mandolin being a sealed top crack on the treble side lower bout and a sealed seam split on the back of the headstock by the treble side tuners which is very common for mandolins from this period

The neck measures 1 3/4” at the nut

This Gibson started its life as an Advanced Jumbo from the 1930s. At some point in the late 1950s the guitar was sent back to Gibson where it was re topped, re necked with a Southern Jumbo neck, and refinished at the factory.
