France Spain Portugal Corsica Gibraltar 1870 Johnson large hand colored map Western U.S. (Texas- westward) distributed free at the timeIssued 1870, Philadelphia by AJ Johnson. Lithographed with original hand color. Paper uniformly age toned, light old damp stain across left corners of sheet, visible as a slight tide mark as seen. Despite the old light staining, map still displays very well and looks nice enough to display. Uncommon 1870 variant of a Johnson map which went through numerous revisions over the years. Large folio, original centerfold, sheet size c. 26 1 2 x 17 3 4. R36136
