On October 20, 1984, the Carrier Dome traded slam dunks for soaring jams as the Grateful Dead rolled into Syracuse University. For one night, the usual Orange crowd swapped their game day chants for Bertha, Greatest Story Ever Told, and West L. A. Fadeaway. The dome, normally buzzing with basketball energy, became a swirling sea of Deadheads,
