Great Britain SG 172 Cover 1895 hand illustrated Beale envelope to London new-edition cut down and mounted inaIllustrated Envelopes. 1895 (AP 3) hand drawn and coloured cover addressed to Tottenham Court Road, Beale correspondence, franked by 1881 1d lilac (die II), tied by London code 'X' cds with red arrival cds for the following day on reverse. Flap removed and minor mounting marks on reverse still a neat and attractive cover, depicting a small dog with soulful eyes behind a low brick wall (on to which the address has been painted).
