Benrinnes 'Signatory' 1996 / 22 years old 52.3% BenRiach Barely water and raisins progressThis Benrinnes comes to us from Signatory Vintage, it is a single cask expression from a ex American hogshead yielding only 280 bottles. This bottling has a nice golden hue to it from the American oak cask maturation, so expect a good dollop of honey (borrage, heather) and vanilla to go along with Benrinnes' typical fruity (stewed summer fruit syrup) and contrsting herbal nature. Bottled at a natural strength of 52. 3%
